Teens’ Church

Raising a generation of outstanding teenagers

About us

Who we are.

Jesus House Teens is the teenage arm of the RCCG Jesus House Parish, catering mainly to teenagers between the ages thirteen (13) to nineteen (19) years. The Teens church has been positioned to raise a generation of outstanding, dignified, and Godly teenagers in this precarious time. The Teens church provides a platform that encourages our teens to grow spiritually, excel academically, develop their career goals, and explore their creative abilities.

Our meetings are very lively, interactive, and life-enriching. Our teachings, which are based on the word of God, address personal walk with God, spiritual growth, practical life issues, academics, and career development. These will undoubtedly prepare our teens for practical life challenges as they transform into young adults.

What we do.

The Church has a mentoring system for the personal life and spiritual growth of the teens. We maintain close contact with the teenagers in church and those in school to monitor their academic and spiritual progress. We run an academic scholarship and welfare programme for committed and diligent members of the teens’ church. A number of our teens have benefited from this programme.

The Church has activity groups like the choir, ushering team, drama, dance & choreography group and each teenager is encouraged to join at least one of these groups. We also organize training sessions for learning musical instruments and singing voice development.

We run a Variety Sunday Service every month tagged “Sunday Unusual”, where the teens anchor every part of the service and engage in different activities like bible quiz, drama, singing, book review, recitation, and word ministration.

We also organize camping tours, recreational trips, and outdoor games to foster good relationships among the teens and their peers outside the church.

Our goals.

  • To teach the teens the sincere word of God and nurture them to develop a passionate relationship with the Lord early in life.
  • To ignite in them a personal discovery of their purpose and calling in Christ Jesus.
  • To raise teens who will not only excel academically but will be morally upright and socially responsible.
  • To help them develop skills and talents for service in the household of faith.
  • To encourage them to develop a cordial relationship with parents, peers, younger ones and elders.
  • To encourage teenagers to confidently share the gospel with their peers.

Who can join?

At the Teenage Church, we believe there is a place for:

  • A teenager, who wants to have a personal relationship with Jesus.
  • A Teenager who needs mentorship and guardianship.
  • A Teenager who needs a place to belong.
  • A Teenager who needs a place to serve.
  • A Teenager who needs a place to encourage and also to be encouraged.
  • A Teenager who needs a place to grow.
